Dear Coaches,
After I sent out the information packets, I found out that we have a significant problem this year with motel rooms. There are approximately 1400 motel rooms in Effingham and we have never had any issue with availability in the past on our tournament weekend. However, this year there is apparently a large Methodist women's conference in town on that weekend and there are no blocks of rooms available at any of the better motels, (just ones and twos).
If you have already booked rooms you are okay, but if not you may have to stay some miles away, (Altamont to the west, Greenup or Casey to the east, Salem to the south).
We sincerely apologize for this situation. It caught us totally by surprise. We had no prior knowledge of this conflict. The women's conference is not an annual event in Effingham.
